Let's relent on one immovable fact.

In Naruto, only Kishimoto has canon. Everything else is fanon. The same holds true for any author of any fiction.

Pairing wars. You might declare Hidan only has whoopie with Kakuzu. I may hope he wants to have it with Hinata in some chance meeting on a mission. Guess what? If Kishimoto decides he madly loves sheep, that is the canon.

If he says nothing....your guess is as good as mine. Quite literally. So long as a pairing....even a "crack" pairing....attempts some form of logic other than LOLSEX, it's anything goes in the apparently nonexistent love lives of Akatsuki or whatever you happen to ship.

I don't seek out your pet pairing to bash it. In fact, I love romance, and I will accept any pairing that attempts some form of characterization, even if it is not a personal preference. I will RP it as enthusiastically as my own ships. I will draw it. I will try to see what you see in it, and sometimes, it becomes a ship of my own.

Then why the hell do you seek me out and be ridiculously vulgar to a complete stranger over a pair of fictional characters?

That was rhetorical, of course, and I'm pretty sure some of you don't even know what that word means. So let me simplify.

Embrace the real world, because you're getting entirely too violent over the pretend one.

For example, I love the KakuHidan doujin Body Buddy. I paid fifty bucks for the real thing on eBay. I was a Kakuzu/Hidan girl before I came to enjoy other possibilities.

However, Body Buddy is not canon, despite the fandom that seems to want to make it so. It's even arguably out of character, by a fantard's rigid and rabid standards.

But I don't argue. So long as there is a logic in a character's behavior, I will accept anything, because yeah....different strokes for different folks.
